Director of Service Operations

Location: Dublin
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer.
The successful candidate will:
- Develop and manage a Business Unit Plan that aligns with the Corporate Strategy, translating it into actionable plans for daily operations and services to ensure alignment with organisational goals and objectives.
- Oversee and manage the PSO (Public Service Obligation) contract, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and delivering high-quality services to our customers.
- Champion a customer-centric approach, with an unwavering commitment to not only meeting but surpassing the expectations of Dublin Bus customers, consistently striving for a best-in-class experience.
- Oversee and manage the implementation of the Sustainability Strategy, ensuring adherence to appropriate regulations and standards, while driving a culture of sustainability throughout the organisation.
- Establish robust performance metrics and monitoring mechanisms to track functional performance, identify areas for enhancement, and proactively drive continuous operational and service improvements.
Applications are invited from candidates who have:
- Minimum 8-years’ of senior leadership roles managing large-scale operations, preferably within the transportation sector.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Transportation Management, Operations Management, or related field.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices.
- Strong leadership and team management skills at an Executive Team level.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset and focus on continuous improvement.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Willingness to work outside standard office hours as required.
